Where do my recordings go?
Your recordings and transcripts are stored on your phone. To transcribe, the audio file is sent directly from your phone to our speech-to-text provider, ElevenLabs (United States). To create a summary, only the text is sent through our server to OpenAI. We don't allow these providers to use your data to train models, but under their own rules they may keep requests for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
The transcript and summary are kept on our server only until the app downloads them, and are deleted at most 24 hours after completion. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Which languages are supported?
More than 90, including Turkish and English. Hearnote was built with Turkish recordings in mind.
Do I need an account?
No. We don't ask for your name, email or a password. Open the app and start recording.
How long does transcription take?
Most recordings become text in seconds. For very long recordings it depends on the length; there is no queue. You get a notification when it's done.
How accurate is the text?
Transcripts are generated automatically by AI. Accuracy is high on clear recordings, but mistakes can happen. Tap any line to hear that moment and check.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Hearnote. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. More on the Support page.
